ABOUT THE GENERAL MATHEMATICS SESSION

In our General Mathematics webinar, held earlier this term, it became clear that teachers are very keen to learn more about teaching networks (now prescribed – no longer an optional topic) and Leslie matrices (new for General 3&4).

This workshop will offer vital guidance for teaching these topics in the classroom, including those teaching them for the first time, and provide ample opportunity to ask our presenters any questions you may still have.

Our presenters will also discuss:

• other changes to the General courses that will affect your 2023 classes

• exciting changes in the new editions of our textbooks, including new features, support for differentiation in the classroom, assessment and exam preparation, and more

• what’s new in our digital and teacher support resources, including an overview of the new Exam Generator.

ABOUT THE METHODS/SPECIALIST SESSION

This workshop will provide guidance for teaching the new Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics courses using Cambridge resources and provide ample opportunity to ask our presenters any questions you may have as you prepare to implement these new Study Designs.

Our presenters will discuss:

• what has changed in the Study Design and how this has been covered in the textbooks

• how to approach the new algorithms and pseudocode content in the Methods course

• suggested teaching plans and guidance for the new Specialist 1&2 course and a guide to the new topics in Specialist 3&4

• what’s new in the digital and teacher support resources for these subjects, including an overview of the new Exam Generator.
