New and enhanced features to consolidate learning

Every worked example in each course includes a corresponding video demonstration in the Interactive Textbook.

In Mathematics Standard 1 & 2

Worked examples include a reorganisation of Solution and Explanation components for a clearer understanding of how to set out a solution.

New Communicate your reasoning, understanding and fluency questions at the end of every exercise give students practice at carefully analysing the context of a question to extract the mathematics and then communicate their thinking, as required in their exams.

Dozens of spreadsheet activities throughout the print books and additional Digital Application Tasks (online) allow students to learn how to apply mathematics within spreadsheets and other digital tools to model real world scenarios.

In Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1 and 2

The worked examples have been reviewed and refined for clarity, and video demonstrations provided for all courses.

Student Success

A continuum of learning resources leading to HSC success

Exceptional exam preparation for every student

A wide range of enhanced HSC exam-style questions allow students to consistently prepare for the types of questions they will encounter in exams.

Students also have ready-access to custom practice exams created by the teacher using past NESA and NESA-style questions to give students extra practice.

In Mathematics Standard 1 and 2

Communicate your reasoning, understanding and fluency questions give students practice at unpacking the context of a question and communicating their thinking as they will be required to do in exams.

Harder multiple choice and short answer HSC exam style  questions are available in the chapter reviews.

In Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1

Carefully leveled (Foundation, Developing and Challenge) HSC exam-style questions cater for students capable of bands 3 to 6.

Additional differentiation opportunities to support students across all bands

In Mathematics Standard 1 and 2

Carefully levelled exercise questions (Building, Developing and Challenging) suit students of all abilities.

Standard 1 Year 12 only: Are You Ready? activities have been added to selected sections to check and consolidate students' understanding of critical prior knowledge. These activities are flagged in the print book and available for download.

In Mathematics Advanced and Extension 1:

Skillsheets with additional Foundation-level questions for every chapter provide even more support for band 3-4 students.

Popular features of the CambridgeMATHS 7-10 resources now incorporated into Stage 6

New Learning intentions have been added to the start of every section in all resources to signal to students what they can expect to learn.

An end-of-chapter Skills Checklist is matched to the Learning intentions and contains references to Skillsheet questions and worked examples. Skills Checklists can be downloaded from the Interactive Textbook for students to mark off as they master each skill. This checklist is also available in the print textbook for Standard.

In Mathematics Standard 1 and 2

Now you try questions after the worked examples give students extra practice before beginning the exercise.

Past, present and future learning places the section content in the context of the syllabus, and highlights topics that build on previous learning.

A proven approach to learning that builds on Core and Path content from CambridgeMATHS 7-10

Logical and manageable topic development is combined with graded questions, worked examples, and exam-style questions in an uncluttered layout that is easy to follow in each course.

The detailed and thoughtful coverage of the new Stage 6 syllabus prepares students for HSC success and also for further STEM studies.

In Mathematics Standard 1 and 2

The popular video support for Networks by Becky Lovelock gives students clear and unrivalled resources for developing key understanding and problem-solving skills, and will build on the Networks content now available in CambridgeMATHS 7-10.

Topics in Standard 1 are covered across more lessons to allow more time to consolidate learning.

In Mathematics Advanced and Extension

Chapters revising essential prior knowledge are included where needed and a review exercise is provided for every chapter. Review activities are included for each chapter. Year 12 users also have access to Year 11 resources for revision.
