Content has been refined to include additional detail and scaffolding for challenging topics to support the incremental development of skills.

Cognitive verbs are used and highlighted in questions throughout the resource to familiarise students with these terms.

NEW narrated practical videos walk students through experiment set-up and execution and can be used by remote or absent students, or to familiarise themselves with the techniques and processes before attempting the practical in class. Videos are indicated by an icon in the print book.

Refined Learning goals at the start of each chapter outline what students can expect to learn and are linked to an end-of-chapter checklist that allows them to tick off their progress and use as a form of quick revision.
